For this position, you’ll be working at a professional tree nursery based in Luttelgeest, specialized in the cultivation of young trees for further growth and sale. The company grows tree plants both in greenhouses and outdoors, focusing on quality, healthy development, and careful plant care.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

THIS JOB OFFER HAS A START DATE OF MARCH / APRIL 2026. The work involves caring for young tree plants in the greenhouse and outdoors, depending on the production stage. In this role, you will planting, grafting, sorting and shaping trees, maintaining plant health and preparing plants for sale and transport. Tasks combine plant care, manual work and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Tasks may include:

  •  Planting young trees and seedlings into pots
  •  Preparing soil and growing substrates
  •  Grafting trees (joining rootstock with selected varieties)
  •  Removing leaves and shoots to support healthy growth
  •  Sorting plants by size and quality
  •  Caring for plants (watering, fertilizing, checking plant condition)
  •  Keeping the greenhouse clean and well organized
  •  Arranging and placing pots on fields or nursery yards
  •  Tying and attaching trees to strings or stakes
  •  Straightening and shaping young trees
  •  Caring for plants outdoors
  •  Packing, securing and preparing orders for transport

YOUR PROFILE

  •  Communicative English language skills
  •  Driving license is an advantage
  •  Experience in a similar role is an advantage
  •  Accuracy and patience, especially for grafting and plant care
  •  Some tasks may be physically demanding, requiring good overall physical fitness
  •  You are willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  •  Enthusiastic, driven and proactive

WE OFFER

  •  Hourly rate: € 14,71
  •  Working time: 07:30 - 16:00
  •  Overtime: above 42 hours per week is paid at 135%
  •  5 days per week
  •  38 hours per week
  •  Dutch employment contract
  •  Provided accommodation: € 109 per week
  •  Dutch health insurance: € 38,22 per week
